Recycling bin for soft plastic packaging.

Soft Plastic Packaging Recycling

Every delivery brings bags, wraps and films into your lab, and almost all of it goes straight to general waste. Our soft plastic scheme gives that packaging its own bin, collected alongside your other streams.

JOIIN THE SCHEME

tHE PACKAGING PROBLEM NOBODY COUNTS

Labs are careful about consumable waste. Packaging rarely gets the same attention.

Outer bags, sterile wraps, pallet wrap, stretch film, bubble wrap and pouches arrive with every consumable order, reagent delivery and piece of equipment. It is bulky, it fills general waste bins quickly, and because it is not a consumable, it tends to fall outside sustainability reporting altogether.

It is also one of the easiest things in your lab to divert. There is no decontamination, no change to how your team works, and no separate collection to arrange.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. We deliver your bins. Lined cardboard bins arrive ready to use, with clear labelling so your team knows what goes where.
  2. Your team fills them. Clean, dry packaging only. No decontamination, no sorting beyond the scrunch test.
  3. You book a collection. Through the online portal, once you have five full bins.
  4. We bale and recycle the material. Your waste volumes and carbon data appear in your portal.

Ready to stop sending packaging to general waste?

The soft plastic scheme launches in November 2026. Get in touch to join at launch, or book a waste audit and we will tell you which of our three schemes your lab can use.
